Jerry Burge Obituary
Jerry E. Burge, 76, of Akron, passed away January 15, 2016.
Jerry was born in Shadyside, Ohio on May 2, 1939 to the late James and Irene Burge. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering with anything that would come along.
He is survived by wife, Carol Burge; sons, Jerry G. (Carol), Timothy (Mary), Michael (Jodi), Jonathan, Jonathon; daughters, Wendy (Alan) Duchaine, Mona Emery (Troy), Kathyren Edge; sisters, Betty Kay, Catherine, Bonnie Sue; grandchildren, Stacy, Nicholas (Jennifer), Jeremy, Corey, Krystan, Kyle, Kelly, Amanda, Tia, Kimberly, Heather, Jerry Gene II, Ashley, Justin and Timmy; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Autumn, Wyatt, Rosalie, Izzac, Dennis, Destiny, Victoria, Starlet, Dominic, Julian, Lexis, Riley, Korben, Declan, Cameron, Jordan and Timmy. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, January 22 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral service will be held at 4 p.m.

SUCH MEMORIES OF JERRY,LIKE HE AND DAD WORKING TOGETHER FOR SO MANY YEARS AND SO MANY YEARS AGO,HOW HE LIKED TO MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH,HECK I REMEMBER WAY BACK WHEN HE LIVED ON THE LAKE IN SAWYERWOOD,I MIGHT HAVE BEEN 2 OR 3,SEEING OLD VIDEO OF THE BOYS ,(ROY,JERRY,DAD,SONNY), PLAYING HORSESHOES,"DOWN HOME" AND THROWING EACH OTHER AROUND,AND WHEN HE LIVED WITH US FOR A SHORT TIME,AND JERRY AND ROY AND MY DAD LARRY WOULD DO ANYTHING IF SOMEONE WOULD ASK FOR HELP EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW THEM !WELL THE BOYS ARE TOGETHER AGAIN,WHAT A DAY IN HEAVEN THAT MUST BE! LOVE YOU JERRY,YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED BY FAMILY AND FRIEND,AS ALL THE BURGE BROTHERS ARE , THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES ME SMILE IS THINKING OF THE FAMILY REUNION IN HEAVEN! GOD BLESS AND BE WITH YOU TOO CAROL,MANY PRAYERS TO HELP YOU AND ALL THE FAMILY GET THROUGH THESE TOUGH TIMES, AMEN!

Jerry was a great uncle was very much loved for his heart of gold he helped anyone or anyway he could. His family meant the world to him!!!
