John Bogdan Obituary
John Charles Bogdan, age 63, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
John was born June 28, 1954 in Canton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Bogdan and daughter, Andrea Ann Bogdan. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters, Justine (Cristian) Zaharie and Melanie (Philip) Marken; grandsons, Mason and Aiden Zaharie; sister, Nancy (Tom) Holliday; and many nieces, nephews and family members.
He was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church and St. George Romanian Orthodox Church throughout his life. John loved his family above all else and was a friend and mentor to many. His deep voice and infectious laugh, his quick wit and many stories will be deeply missed by all. John will always be remembered as a fighter and survivor.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, 144 30th St. NW Canton, Ohio 44709 where John will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends TONIGHT, 5 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Church or to St. George Romanian Orthodox Church. John was my high school friend and I was sad to hear of his passing. I hadn't seen him since 1972, so he'll always be the fun guy in the band with the big smile and hearty laugh! Please accept my condolences.

I don't know what to say except that God love you. I can't understand exactly how you feel, but God does and will keep raising you up. I hope that my prayers will help a little. You have my deepest condolences.
