BARBERTON John Bognar, 89, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007.
A resident of Barberton for 30 years, he retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1982. John enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Mae Bognar and stepson, Robert Meyers, he is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Cheryl Siladie of Tallmadge; son, John Bognar III of Holiday, Florida; stepson, Ronald (Nancy) Meyers of Weston, Florida; grandchildren, Dawn (Kai) Brunkalla, (Pamela) David Siladie, Tara Schrock, Sarah (Brian) Karf, Laura Meyers; great-grandchildren, Austin Schrock, Emily, Charlotte, Elise Brunkalla.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton 44203, with Pastor Robert Combs officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation TODAY, 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope for the Holidays, 475 W. Tuscarawas Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203.

My uncleJohn always had a way of making me feel better when things were bad is what i can remember. Being older now i can still feel his encouranging words and his humor to lift the spirits whyen life was bad. he reminded me of the actor Gregory Peck in looks to me.. Uncle John will always be remembered by me.
