Josephine Barbar Obituary
She truly was a wonderful person who brought joy to all she came into contact with.
Preceded in death by her husband, Sam Barber; parents, Rosolia and Gaetano Casella; sisters, Nina and Carmela; brothers, Carmello and Salvatore; and brother-in-law, Guiseppe Riolo. Josephine is survived by her sister, Bastina Riolo; many nieces, nephews, god children, two great nephews and many wonderful friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Pl., Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St. Akron.

I enjoyed many special Sicilian meetings and events with Josephine full of wonderful menories. She was a beautiful person to know who always had a smile on her face and happy to see you. May she watch over her Sicilian sisters from the heavens above.

To My Aunt, My Godmother, My Friend...not a day nor a second shall pass that I will not think of you. I will never forget your laugh, your smile or your beautiful eye's. You have taught me so much in my life, I can't believe you are gone. I can't believe I will never hear your sweet voice or your laugh..but I will see you and talk to you again..till then My Zia I will continue to make you proud, and to always remember you. Josephine and Sam had been in my life since I was a little girl. I have fond memories of visiting her home frequently with my family. Her love overflowed in everything she did. She was family in everyway. She will live on in my memories.
