Judy Tompkins Obituary

Judy Lee (Hunter) Tompkins

Judy Lee (Hunter) Tompkins, age 61, went home to the Lord on October 20, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with multiple health issues. Despite her illnesses, she managed to smile through the pain. She is now God's Angel, who will always be cherished as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She was born in Akron, graduated from Kenmore High School in 1971 and worked both in retail and for Visiting Nurse Service. She then moved to Jackson Township, where she did volunteer work as a passionate Sunday School Teacher for over 12 years at Jackson Friends Church and was loved by all.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Russell Tompkins; children, Krystal and Kevin; siblings, Michael, Linda and Susan. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Leonard and Doris Hunter.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Jackson Friends Church - 330-966-0616.

Anytime that I watch a Lifetime movie, see Red lipstick or nail polish, I think of you. I wish I was able to see you or talk to you, one last time here on Earth, although I don't know what I would have said, other than that I love you like "family" and will miss your laugh. I know it would have been hard to say anything else. I believe you are at peace and I will love your Krystal and Russ. God has had his Angel for 1 year now and you will have eternal Life in Heaven.

I'm still and always will be thinking of you and all of the times we shared. You taught me so much. You (and dad) were the simply most caring nice person in my life. I was so blessed to have you as my mom. I love you forever.

Dear Russ and family: So sorry to hear of Judy's passing but so glad she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior and in no more pain. We praised God on Sunday for the news you sent to church, Russ. We are all so happy for you and know Judy was ecstatic with the news of your salvation. I am sorry I could not make it to the service tonight, but you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all and comfort you during the pain of not having Judy here with you anymore. Sincerely, Libby Burch-Brinkman from Jackson Friends

My beautiful sister Judy entered the Lords Kingdom. Her body is no longer weak, instead she is in the loving arms of her Savior, and made whole again. We will miss you. Love Susan and from Guy
