Larry Lee Lamm of Lanexa, Va., born on November 11, 1939 in Norwalk, Ohio, passed away at the age of 67 on December 14, 2006.
Larry was a unique history teacher who taught for 32 years in the Cleveland Public School System. He moved to Virginia upon retiring to be close to Colonial Williamsburg so that he could take part in historical re-enactments. Larry, who was known by some as Henry Elley, will be remembered for his love of Ireland, singing and all things Celtic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Lamm. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Lamm Colagross and her husband, Al; his ex-wife, Helen Moser and their two sons, Mark and his wife, Susan, and Jeff; and step granddaughter, Katherine. He also leaves his two beloved dogs, Rusty and Sparkle.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 27 at 11 a.m. at the Northfield Baptist Church, 311 W. Aurora Rd, Northfield, with a memorial service to follow.

Mr. Lamm was a wonderful teacher. Being a product of Cleveland Public Schools wasn't always the easiest of experiences. Having his class was the highlight of my day. I always knew he would make it fun with his enthusiasm and energy. My love of history was greatly influenced by him. He will be missed greatly. He truly was one of a kind.

I attended Mr. Lamm's History class for 2 years in the mid 1980's. The memories are as vivid today as they were more than two decades ago. I whitnessed him handcuffing an unruly student (not me) using a set of handcuffs from his collection.

The members of Clan Haggis mourn the passing of one of our favorite lead singers & also celebrate his zest for life. People around the world enjoyed singing with &/or listening to Larry sing Sea Chanteys & Celtic tunes.
I personally will always think of him singing "Rowdy Soul", "Danny Boy" & others. Let's remember him as we keep the music & his memory alive.
