Lauren Lawrence Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share that Lauren "Larry" E. Lawrence of Akron, Ohio was called home by our Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the age of 72. Larry was born on February 25, 1949, to mother, Norma J. Lawrence and father, Charles E. Lawrence. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as, his brother, Donald and sister, Deidra. Larry was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated his life to family, friends, and community. Larry was always the first to offer his hand to those in need; his strength and compassion guided him. A life well lived, he was an avid fisherman, bowler, golfer, and card player. He is deeply loved and we hope that all can celebrate the good memories of him. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shari; his children, Michael (Janice), Melissa (Anthony), Anthony, Michelle, and Tamara; and his grandchildren, Craig, Tyler (Rachel), Brandon, Hailey, Drake, Alexa, Nicholas, Erin, Ashley, and Madison. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home at 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church at 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron, OH 44312 and will be officiated by Pastor Brian Nutt. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Larry to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. God Speed Larry. (Hopkins Lawver, AKRON, 330-733-6271) www.hopkinslawver.com
