Leslie Steele Obituary
Born March 15, 1969 to Harvey and Gayle Duncan, She graduated from Akron Central Hower High School and the University of Akron where she is a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. Leslie was last employed by Fed Ex Custom Critical.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Bradley and Lauren's father, Mark; her fiance, Dru Collinsworth and his son, Noah; brothers, Tom and Ted Duncan; sister, Lena (Doug) Smoot; stepsister, Tina Olinger; mother, Gayle Callesen and the extended Bellios, Miller and Thompson families.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 2 p.m. at the Dunn Quigley Funeral home, 811 Grant St., Akron, with visitation 1 p.m. until time of service. Her final resting place will be East Liberty Cemetery (interred at a later date). The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

I was sad to learn of the passing of Leslie. I had the privilege of serving as band director at Central-Hower High School throughout the 1980's. Leslie, Lena and many of the young people I recognize in this guest book were an important part of my life during this period, both personally and professionally. I remember Leslie as an exceptional marching band field commander. She was always ready for the next challenge. Her sense of humor and her love of her classmates in band was a reflection of who she really was...a good and kind young woman. To her mother, Gayle, thanks for giving me the time to share with your daughter!

I am so sorry to hear of Leslie's passing. I attended Central-Hower with Leslie and we were in the band together. I have wonderful memories of her. Whether we were in class, on the football field or at band camp we always had a great time. I will always remember her great smile and happy personality. May your memories of Leslie bring you comfort at this difficult time.

To the Family Of Lesley, I am so sorry for your loss. I went to Riedinger and Central-Hower with Lesley and was also in the Marching Band with her. She was a lovely, sweet and beautiful person. Dear Gayle, Ted, Tom, and Family,
So very sorry to hear about Leslie. Just to let you know, that we are here for you. I know your heart is aching, but look for comfort through your your friends and family right now, and trust in him to get you through. Always remember all the treasured memories of Leslie, and hope those memories bring you warmth. Just know, that we all care...and if you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out; and we will be there for you. You guys are like family and always will be. It is very difficult to believe that Leslie has passed away. I vividly remember her in my 7th grade class, and as one my daughter's best friends in high school and beyond. She was a wonderful friend, student and, later, teacher. I am truly sorry for your loss, and please know that I shall never forget her.

I've known Leslie since we were nine years old. I was a transfer student to Fraunfelter Elementary School, and Leslie was the 1st friend I knew. She was fiercely loyal, and one of the most genuine person in the world. I have made many "friends" throughout my life, but only a few I would recognize as "lifetimers". Leslie was one of them. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to her family. I am so sorry for your loss. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Leslie was my "go to" girl for all of my IT Information needs in White Glove Services at FedEx Custom Critical. She was ALWAYS able to help me find statistical solutions. I always enjoyed visiting Leslie's work station as she was very proud to display Lauren's artwork, even when Lauren was very young. I'm sure Leslie will continue to watch over Lauren and her progress and maturity in the coming years. My thoughts and prayers are with Lauren and the rest of the family at this difficult time.
