Lisa Diane MacFadden, 42, of Akron, died January 6, 2009 at Akron Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
She was born November 3, 1966 in Circleville, the daughter of Dean and Shirley (Potter) MacFadden. She was a 1985 graduate of Circleville High School, 1989 graduate of OSU with a Bachalor of Arts Degree, Masters in Education from The University of Akron in 2002, employed for several years by Social Security Administration, employed last six years by Medina County Career Center teaching 11th and 12th grade English.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley MacFadden. She is survived by her father, Dean MacFadden; sister, Sherrie MacFadden; significant other, Chad Monroe; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers, special friends, Lisa Lollie, Stephanie Mowrer and Jay Judge and the students she loved at Medina Career Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be at Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pickaway County Special Olympics or Hands for Disabled.

Ms. MacFadden was my English teacher my Senior Year. She was a wonderful teacher to all. She will be greatly missed, I am sorry for your loss of such a beautiful person. Celebrate her wittiness that she had I won't ever forget the woman who taught me to like the movies clock work orange and monty python and the holy grail. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers!
