Madgalena "Mag" Detweiler

Magdalena "Mag" Detweiler, age 76, of Hartville, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Friday July 5, 2013. She was born on October 10, 1936 in Uniontown, Ohio to the late John L. and Alta (Yoder) Sommers, one of 11 children. She married David Detweiler on September 7, 1962 and together raised three children. She was a member of the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. More than anything, she loved the Lord, spending time with her family, her sisters and her five treasured granddaughters.

Preceded in death by her husband David in 1999; infant daughter; four siblings, George Sommers, Edna Sommers, Anna Mae Hershberger and Elson Sommers.

She is survived by her children, Angela (Dave) Schlabach, David A. (Christine) Detweiler and Eunice (Ryan) Beachy all of Hartville; granddaughters, Kristin and Arianna Schlabach, Robyn, Kayla and Cassidy Beachy; siblings, Clyde Sommers, Vera Overholt, Martha (Al) Gingerich, Ruby (Aden) Miller, Levi (Nora) Sommers and Rachel (Paul) Miller; and sister-in-law Anna Sommers.

Calling hours are Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bethany Mennonite Church,
