Marcus Boylen Obituary

Marcus Kristin Boylen

We lost a gentle soul when Marcus Kristin Boylen, of Akron, Ohio, passed away suddenly at home on Jan. 7, 2016.

Marcus was born July 13, 1974 to Deborah Boylen and Bill W. Boehm. He grew up in Akron. He always said, "I've lived 20 some places in my life and they were all one or two turns off of Hilbish."

He graduated from Ellet High School then pursued his great love of the outdoors when he started MB Tree Service. Marcus was a fun, loving and gentle soul with a captivating spirit. He was an intensely loyal, dedicated friend to those he cherished. He helped so many of those around him in so many ways. If there was a problem, he would drop anything to help a friend. He was so thoughtful, always noticed and held on to the "little things." A caretaker by nature, Marcus spent the last years of his life as a devoted caregiver to his grandmother, Kae, whom he loved dearly.

His smile was infectious and he was a bright light even in the darkest places. He lost many things, but never his sense of humor. He almost seemed unaffected by the amount of adversity he encountered throughout his life.

He loved flowers, trees, gardens, anything outdoors. He had a heart of gold and his friendship was priceless. He was truly an amazing "one of a kind" friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by grandmother, Kathleen Lemons and grandfather, Russell Lemons, he is survived by mother, Deborah Boylen; father, Bill W. Boehm; Aunt Fran and Uncle Dale; and loving friends, Steve Titmas, Jennifer Millard and Dorthy Whitted.

A candlelight memorial service will be held Thursday, January 21 at 5:30 in Kenmore at the garden on the corner of Florida Ave. and 18th St. Following the service, friends and family are welcome to celebrate his life at Steve Titmas' home. Trinkets and memories of Marcus are welcomed to be shared.

I'm at a loss for words with the loss of one of my best friends...we certainly had some fun times. I'll always miss you buddy... Everyday that passes. You were the only friend I could have the most deep and intelligent conversation s with and in the same breath talk about just random off the wall things. I've shed many tears for you my friend and I know you'll be up there with a fishing pole and some suspenders on...counting on seeing you again in the afterlife. Ping pong ding dong? Always smiles laughter and good times. I miss you man. So much. Rest easy my friend. Your buddy misses you.

Old picture of Marc, probably from 8th or 9th grade.

.....over the fifteen years or so that we have known eachother..running into eachother more often in recent years...one particular memory comes to mind where u saved a backpack of mine full of irreplaceable pictures ..sentimental things that i thought was gone forever...and the universe made an otherwise unlikely set of events takr place to where u were able to save that backpack and contact me...i never let u forget how much that meant to me brother...conversations ..laughs...dirtbikes..n quads ..that day by the train yard ..dorothy..if ur reading this...i know u remember that sunny day.....smile..i'll miss stoppin at grandmas house whenever id drive past .n see you out in the garage or workin on something outside...those days ill solidify ...and remain greatful for an unlikely friendship that time never touched ...ill see u n the other side homie....mike marino

I have so many good memories of Marc. We used to always laugh in class. Marc was smart, athletic, funny and always ready for a game of pitty pat. I remember meeting Marc for the first time one summer while riding bikes near Kae's house. I had never met someone with more energy before. It was like I had known him for a long time instantly. I know you had your struggles and I wish I could have reconnected with you in these last few years. I know you can rest easy now and enjoy the good life. Thank you for your friendship and good times. I know I will see you again one day soon. My condolences to the family at this difficult time.

In life we share many memories, Thank you Marcus for sharing your memories with me! So grateful to have known you, and have shared memories together I will NEVER forget!
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ...
So glad you are able to be with your grandmother again though Marcus RIP brother, and be sure to save me a spot! luvs and hugs to ya, and may your trinkets live on with our memories forever! PEACE!
