Miceal’s body may be gone, but his undeniable spirit remains with all who knew him and permeates all who loved him. I am absolutely certain that I will instantly recognize him the next time we meet, regardless of whether he is a man, a moose, an aardvark, whatever…

So many of my fondest memories from this life are of experiences shared with Miceal. There is a huge, gaping hole where he used to reign. This world is a darker place without him.

It's been almost a year since you left us. The hardest thing I've ever done is missing you. I remember sitting for hours in our apartment when you were so young listening to Ballin Jack, Cold Blood, The Electric Flag, Ten Wheel Drive, Santana, and telling you that if you wanted to be the best you had to hear the best. You echoed that back to me over the years and made me proud of who you became. I remember when you wore the basketball box on your head at

Bryar's third birthday and was Mr. T.V. man for the kid's. The staff at Big Scoop won't forget that either. You set the standard for Genesee ordering food at any drive thru. The window people love her. You gave us all so much. The laughter is what I miss. Even when it was at the expense of your mom. (Her driving). I know you're watching over her and the rest of us. I love you, my beautiful nephew.

Thank you for sharing your gift's of knowledge, compassion, and, Oh Yeah,.......Style.

Don't be sad if you see us cry. We mourn so long because we love so deeply.

Until I see you again, thank you.

I love you,

Auntie Toot

Micael, I can't believe you are gone. We were to walk this earth together and laugh and grow old comparing our antics.

I love you my brother. My life is so much richer for having known you. You live forever in my heart.

I remember a bright, independent and caring young man who was a great joy to my best friend. My heart is broken for your mom and brother. Your pain is over and you are peacefully resting in God's arms.

I didn't know Miceal very well at all---only met him a few times when he came up to see Ladon at work. Here are some first impressions: Miceal had a palpable aura of gentleness about him. He seemed really good natured and one was comfortable in his presence. His was perhaps an old soul. He was very engaging, and I can remember thinking, here's this kid & he's just as easy making chit-chat with a button-down government accountant he just met as he would be discussing vintage Fenders with some long-haired leaping gnome! My heart goes out to Ladon & the family & friends.

What a tremendous impact one person can make on your life, and Miceal was that kind of person. Any moment with him was a big adventure, and a story to tell. His eccentric humor, his big heart, and creative mind will never be matched. Much love and sympathy to Ladon, Padriac, and Dawn, and all his family that adored him so much. M- thanks for being here and sharing so much with me. No one was more encouraging for me then you when I was younger, and I treasured our friendship then and now. Thanks for bringing me into your family, and being a great friend and big brother to me over the years. Wish you didn't have to leave so soon - it's not the same without you.

There is an empty space inside of me where Miceal used to reside. Now there is only a memory. We spent a good portion of our formative years together and had countless strange and wonderous adventures. Whether we were entertaining bikers with Burl Ives tunes as the phlorlescent pigs, making fun of deadheads, or taking one of our many motor trips. There was never a shortage of imagination humor or wit when we were together. I will sorely miss him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Padraic, LaDon, and Dawn.

Rest easy my brother, I'll see you in my dreams.

There aren’t the words to express the sadness over the loss of my long time friend and cohort. My deepest sympathies go out to Miceal’s family and friends. I’ve known Miceal since he lived in CT. We spent our teenage years as schoolmates and the best of friends. I remember particularly his love of music, his wit and charm. Miceal and I caused a lot of trouble together and did a lot of growing together. The impressions we left on each other are permanent and he will always be a part of me. Godspeed Miceal.

Your old friend.

I was saddened to hear the news. Miceal was a great person and good friend. We shared roots to the Bay Area and had fun reminiscing about similiar ties we shared in the music business. It was great when we talked about the “good old days” of music and friends. He will be sorely missed by all. I will treasure the friendship that we had.

Miceal was a good man and will be missed by all. Although I had not seen him for a long while, it's a shock to think he's not out there working on a guitar or an antique deal somewhere. Miceal made working at THD a lively experience, and a lot of fun. He had a special ability to relate to people at any level, and I especially admired his sense of ease around the rock stars who frequented THD in the late 80s & early 90s. There was only one Miceal.

My sincerest condolences go out to Miceal's family, fiance and friends. It still hasn't hit me that I won't soon be talking and having fun with Miceal about various interests we had in common. He taught me a lot - I admired his enthusiasm and drive for learning as much as he could about whatever interests he delved into but I admired even more his unqualified sharing of his enthusiasm and knowledge about those interests. I can't say how much I miss him! I'm sure he's already auditioning for Ray Charles' new band!

Miceal, you truely walked on this planet, and it is a better place for it. Your heart and your passion inspires still all the people who recognized it, were touched by it, and who learned to be more present here in this world because of you. Your gifts to this world live on... thank you for sharing your passion, humour, talent, and heart with us all.
