Meriam Cantor Obituary
Meriam Renee Cantor, 82, of Silver Lake, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Akron City Hospital Medical Center.
She was born May 13, 1927 in Rochester, N.Y., to Henry and Fannie (Schiff) Teichner. She retired as a violist from the Rochester Philharmonic and various other orchestras.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Cantor, whom she married on June 8, 1947; children, Nadine (Dennis) Nygren of Kent, Duane (Vera) Cantor of Stamford, Conn., Paul (Brenda) Cantor of Massillon, Glenn (Lisa) Cantor of North Canton, and Erica (David) Carano of Stow; grandchildren, Kimberly, Lindsay, Rachel, Derek, Larissa, Heather, Fred, Ryan, Sam, Lauren, and Katie Rose; step-grand-children, Andrew, Anthony, Amber; and eight great-grandchildren.
Private services have been held. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

Crossing the Bar
