February 12th, 1960 - September 16th, 2021 Michael A. Drake, 61, of Akron passed away September 16, 2021. He was born February 12, 1960 in Akron, the son of Opal Burress-White and Jack Drake. He married his wife Cindy and together shared 43 years of marriage. Michael was a hard working man who loved his wife dearly and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a heart of gold and would help others while loving life. He enjoyed all sports, but more than anything he was a die hard Browns fan. He was employed by C.T. Taylor for over 30 years where he took pride in his work and made many friends along the way. He loved listening to music of all genres. His love for classic cars was like no other, he could tell you the make, model, and year in a heartbeat. In his spare time, when he wasn't doing projects around the house, he would go play golf on Sundays. He loved explaining how everything was made or how it worked. He was a teacher to us all in different ways and he will be forever missed, but never forgotten. He was preceded in death by mother, Opal White; father, Jack Drake; sister, Sandra Lee; and brothe,r Ricky Drake. He is survived by wife, Cindy Drake; daughters, Michelle and Melissa; sisters, Debbie Drake, Virginia (Bill) Sampson; brother, David Drake; his beautiful grand kids, Sam I am, Maddy, Chloe, JT, and Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
