Yeah ..mike was my neighbor ..I think I was in 4th grade ..he teased me cuz I had a crush on a cutie pie named Janet taylor ..we were on our swing set ..I denied it and threw a pop bottle at him ..he said : what did you do that for !! ..I was kind of shy with girls back then .
Mike never was !! .
Wish I could have taken some pointers from him

I remember Mike so well from school. He had an amazing smile that could light up the world. Perhaps now Heaven is a brighter place because of him. I am sure he will be missed by those that love him here on Earth. I am praying for his loved ones and the void they must be feeling. Rest easy Mike. Big hugs, Deb XO

we all think of someone who passes away as a loss. like we have some right to take some sort of possesion .we just dont have that right . we are creations of the creator i know i had to look at it a different way . i believe when someone gives even a moment of their time and love . it is a gift !it is all gain .hold on to one another

I met Mike when I use to live in Ohio and I would go to Lux. Whenever I went, I would see him and we would chit chat about working out. He always remembered me even if it's been a couple months since my last outing. Even though he looked the part of a big muscular guy that could kick butt; he had more of the mannerism of a dad; by making sure no harm was inflicted on any of the ladies. The last time I saw Mike was in December 2011; before I moved to Arizona. He wished me the best of luck on my new future and career. Mike was definitely one of a kind, my condolences go out to his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

I got to know mike at the gym. He told us about the wrestling (even colder). So when I ran in to him at the giant eagle parking lot, I couldn't help myself. I yelled O.M.G. It's stone cold! And when the people started running over to him......I just kept walking. He also came in to my work at the pharmacy and I did the same thing. He turned all red, then he turned around to walk away. I ran after him and he said he was going to kill me. We had a lot of fun, and he will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the Rice family. Though I knew him only through his brother Greg, he was always very kind and easily approachable and friendly. May God hold him now, in His loving arms and may the family be comforted by His love.

I'm very saddened to hear of Mikes passing. I moved up here last year and only knew him for a brief time from when he would come into the bank. He was such a great guy; so nice and always smiling even when we knew it was hard for him. I'm so happy to have met him!! We're going to miss him!

Lots of special needs kids will alway remember "Even Colder" for his kindness. He came to visit my son who has cerebral palsy and we will remember his visit and the many times we saw him at wrestling matches. He was a very special man and made many feel like a "super hero" too.
