R. Bruce Graham

R. Bruce Graham, age 59, of Stow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, May 26, 2017 after a diagnosis of ALS a year ago. He was the beloved husband of Mary (nee DeBlasi) Graham; loving father of Heather (Jeffrey) Ruwe, B. Bryan (Krista) Graham and Marc Graham; dear grandfather of Charlotte Graham; dear brother of Nancy (Richard) Grabe and Marianne (Keith) Purnell and son of Ruth (nee Williams) Graham and the late J. Robert Graham. He was also an enthusiastic Green Bay Packers fan and lover of Golden Retrievers. Bruce touched the lives of many through dedicating his life to EMS, in both the public and private sectors. He began as a volunteer firefighter, later became the Director of Hudson (OH) EMS, a founding member of the International Emergency Medical Services Chief's Association, and Vice President of the Ohio EMS Chief's Association. Bruce was exuberant, fun loving, caring, and eternally optimistic. He saw the good in everyone and went out of his way to always help others. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 403, Independence, OH 44131. www.alsaohio.org. Friends will be received for a memorial gathering from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 19 EAST MAIN STREET (ON THE SQUARE), HUDSON, OHIO, (330) 650-4181, where a memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. www.johnsonromito.com

I just learned of Bruce's passing from the Monmouth College magazine. I was a little sister of Sig Ep and remember Bruce as a genuinely nice guy. I am so sorry for your family in losing Bruce. Peace to all of you!

Condolences to Bruce's family and friends. He was a class act--- I knew Bruce through the International Association of EMS Chiefs so our paths would cross every few months via phone calls or a conference. He didn't do anything half-way. Brendan Kearney- Boston EMS
