Ralph S. Komerofsky, 67, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Cleveland Clinic awaiting a liver transplant.
Born July 4, 1942 in Cleveland to Max and Edith Komerofsky, both deceased. A graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and Ohio University, Ralph had lived in Akron since 1971 and was a member of Temple Israel. He was a computer programmer.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Todd Remer of Gahanna, Ohio; son, Rabbi David Komerofsky of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Elliot and Emily Remer and Elaina and Gabriel Komerofsky; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Arlene Komerofsky of Appleton, Wis.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paula and Mark Weinstein of Columbus, Ohio; four nephews, Jonathan Komerofsky (Wendy Sorkin), Steven Komerofsky, Dan Weinstein (Shannon Beatty), and Brian Weinstein; aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Funeral will be held at Temple Israel, 133 Merriman Road, Akron, at noon TODAY (Sunday,) July 12, 2009. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Temple Israel Section. The family will receive friends at Temple Israel following the burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Temple Israel Caring Community or www.caringbridge.org in Ralph"s memory would be appreciated.
