Richard Jackley Obituary
Richard H. Jackley, 84, passed away Nov. 12, 2002, at Akron General Medical Center.
Born in Cuy ahoga Falls, he was a resident of the Akron area since 1959. Richard was an avid golfer throughout his life and an excellent athlete in his youth. He also was known for his one-liners and dry humor. Retired from Ferriot Inc., he was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Preceded in death by brothers, Gerald and William, and sister, Rose Daniels. he is survived by wife, Mildred; daughter and son-in- law, Doreen and Richard Weber of Akron; sister, Mrs. Agnes Lyle of Cuyahoga Falls; nephews, David Lyle, Scott Evans, Marvin Evans; other nieces and nephews on the west coast; and great-nephew, Zachary Evans.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Ciriello Funeral Home/Rose Hill Chapel, with Fr. Jim Prehn, S.J., officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Calling hours will be TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron General Cancer Center, 224 W. Exchange St., Akron, Ohio 44302, or a charity of your choice.

I am sorry to know of your loss. I remember both of you very fondly from my days as a shopkeeper at Schoolhouse. I read the Beacon online at my winter home here in Florida, and try to keep up with my friends in Akron.
