I can't believe a year has gone by already! I miss you so much Uncle Bobby! I miss all of the old stories you would tell us. No one could tell them like you! I miss you being here with us and how much fun we had, when all of the family got together. However, I know in my heart that you are with God! You were a great man. A man of integrity. A man of God, that lived what you preached. You will always be in my heart!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Papa Bell!!!!!!

February 19, 2007

Sis Jean and Family,
I was shocked to learn of the passing of Pastor Bell. I remember him from St. Thomas Bapist Church. Pastor Bell througout the years has always had a smile and word of encouragement when I saw him through the years. My most memorable moment was when he and his sister Pam use to sing the song Long as I got King Jesus. They were an awesome dual and moreover the believed what they sang. Take care and know that God never makes a mistake.

Yontami and Robbie, I was sorry to hear the news about the passing of Pastor Bell. I remember when we (me, Kim, Yon, Gwen's kids & Pam's kids )were little and would sneak to the 7-11 during the break between sunday school and sunday service. We would bring all that candy back to church and try to hide it while we ate during service. Sometimes pastor would catch us, and even though he would make us get rid if it, he was never mean about it. Just direct and to the point. I will miss him and I wish comfort to both of you.

The Lord is perfect in all his ways, and his understanding is far above man's. We are both sorrowful and joyous at the passing of Pastor Bell who was a good and faithful shepherd over us. We will miss him and were encouraged ,and inspired by him. We hope that you Sis. Bell and all the Bell family, will take comfort in knowing that he is in the arms and bosom of our Lord and Savior, in the land of promise and eternal life. May all of us continue in hope keeping our eyes on GOD as he leads us through this worldly wilderness through sunny days and dark nights, till we are brought to the end of our journey. You are all in our prayers and GOD BLESS AND COMFORT YOU.

My dear friends Sister Jean Bell, Yontami Jones, Robert Bell Jr., and family. It is at this moments that many of us want to minister all our strength to you. No one really knows the grief that is felt with this kind of loss, yet we offer all that we can to you.

Bishop Bell was a man who lived to comfort, strengthen and save.
He certainly was a great man of God and faith. I'm thankful that I was able to share the love he gave. My life will always be the merrier because of him, and I have always called him "my friend."

Bishop Bell was a guardian of the well of life. It was time for him to take his drink and now he will never thirst again.

While I weep with you I pray for God's strength to carry you as on wings of eagles. I also pray that God comforts you with the angels of heaven.

With love and sincere concern,
Elder Benjamin J. Solomon

February 2, 2007

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

We are sorry to hear about the passing of Bishop Bell who has been a part of my extended family for many years. My mother and father knew him as a very young man when he attended Pastor Greer's church located on Andrus Street in South Akron. In recent years he had stood by my family providing us with strength and quidance while we struggled with the loss of our own family members. To his wife and other family members, please know that you are in our hearts and in our prayers. We, too, will miss him. May God bless you now and always.

Dear Jean and family,
So very sorry to hear of Pastor Bell's passing. It has been awhile since we have talked, but he and your family are such kind, loving people we have thought of you all often. I am sure Our Lord would say of this man who has had a life well lived," Welcome good and faithful servant." Please accept our sincere sympathy.
