Robert Bowman Obituary
Robert S. Bowman, 82, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully Wednesday, June 12, 2002.
He is sur vived by his wife, Garnet (Ensminger); sister, Donna Bates of Virgin ia; sons, Ron ald (Hilda), Carl (Celinda), and Mike (Mik ey); daughter, Cindy Joseph (Tom); stepsons, Eric Blumenson, Glenn Black, M.D. (Cheryl), Douglas and Donald En sminger; stepdaughter, Connie (Tim) Lewis; 26 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Chemical Department, and was a major in the Army Air Corps in World War II, where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart. He was an avid flyer and was the oldest and most senior member of the Aero Fliers Club, played in two community bands, and loved cooking.
Friends and family will be re ceived at the home at 4580 Park dale Ave. N.W., Canton, Ohio, from 2 to 8 p.m. TODAY, June 15, 2002.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Ministries Church, P.O. Box 80394, Canton, Ohio 44708-0394, or to your favorite charity. According to his wishes, his body was donated to the NEOUCOM Body Donation Pro gram.

Even though Bob "defected" from the clarinet section to sit by Garnet in the flute section, we all loved him. His smile made the world brighter. Clinton Community Band will miss him greatly.

I haven`t seen Bob for nearly 25 years,since we both worked at plant 5 of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.I have fond memories of his humor and some of his funny happenings. I know his stepson Dr.Glenn Black as my family doctor. We shared the experience being in the Air Force
in WWII. I enjoed his friendliness and humor and I know he will be sorely missed

Bob was a good man who loved life and loved music. As a fellow musician, we always had good conversations together discussing our mutual hobby of musical performance. As a cousin of the family, my condolences go out to my family members who lost a father, step-father, or grandfather. Bob was definitely blessed with a large and loving family.

It was a privilege to have known Bob. He was an interesting and quite amazing person. His legacy certainly does live on through his children, his grandchildren Each one of them represents the very best of Bob and pay quite a befitting tribute to their dad, grandfather and great grandfather.
Through them will continue Bob's intelligence, his love of life, his incurable curiosity about things, and best of all, his sense of humor.
