Robert Koehler Obituary
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Robert "Tommy" Koehler, 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 2, 2016 at Essex Care Center in Tallmadge.
Born in Far Rockway, N.Y., Tommy was an area resident for most of his life. He was a kind, loving, creative, and talented man with a great devotion to his Catholic Faith. Tommy's love for his family guided him daily and meant everything to him. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
Preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Koehler, Tommy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diane and Edward Cellini; children, Jessica, Robbie, and Gabrielle; his siblings, Andrew (Anett) Datlo, Kevin (Mary Beth) Koehler, Kimberly Rosenberger, Sheryl Koehler, and Jason (Tobi) Laber; grandson, Jase; best friend, Paul Edic; as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends TODAY, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail), Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.

Every day you are my first thought..I miss your phone calls & all you had to say Tommy..I knew you were leaving us but I didn't want to believe it..then suddenly Kevin called & told me the horrid news that time was near the end..but only 9 days ago we were together..u seemed ok enough...had I known, I never would have left you. Not for a second..I love you Tommy & miss you so so much.. My Heart.. Love, Mommy xx

At a point in time, early in high school, Tommy and I were the best of friends. Oh the trouble we barely avoided. He made me laugh, I made him laugh and we laughed together until our stomachs hurt... especially when he did his impression of Jan-Michael Vincent! I think of him and our times together often. He will be missed. My condolences to your entire family, friends and those who got to know Tommy.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I went to school with Tommy. I always admired how well he could draw. I was in awe of his talent and loved how he hummed as he turned a blank piece of paper into the Star Trek Enterprise or other wonderful pictures. I am so sorry for your loss. May faith, love, and support from family and friends carry you through the coming days.
