Robert Noah Obituary

Robert A. Noah, age 90, died peacefully on November 30 at his Calusa Harbour residence in Fort Myers, Florida.

He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 21, 1922. He was happily retired at age 55 from Herberich, Hall, Harter Insurance Agency and moved from Akron to Sanibel Island, Florida in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Mary H. Noah. He survived two spouses. He married Blanche Sweetser in 1949 and they had three daughters; Nancy Noah-Bear (Benjamin Bear), Anne Conlon (Jim Oster), and Jean Yuhasz (widow of John David Yuhasz). Blanche Sweetser passed away in 1968. Bob was remarried in 1978 to Mildred Richards and welcomed the addition of a fourth grown daughter, Kathy Fazchas (Steven Fazchas) and grandchildren. He leaves these four children, grandchildren, Laurel, Emily, Ryan, Allison, Cindy, Steven, Charlene and eight great-grandchildren.

Robert's passions in life were good food, the stock market, antique cars, music, swimming and bicycling. He was well loved by everyone who knew him for his gentle spirit, great sense of humor and generosity. His hearty belly laugh will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 9 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market St., Akron, Ohio in the Chapel (Chapel entrance on Kenilworth Dr.), with The Reverend Edward Perkinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local hospice organization.
