Daddy,
It was your 95th birthday yesterday 02/15/11. I was weepy all day at work.
I cried briefly, but I told myself that you are in a much better place now.
We celebrated your birthday yesterday privately. I miss you every single day.
Mom sang the Lord's Prayer just for you on your day. I love you Dad forever and always.

Daddy,
I don't really know what to say.
Dad you were an amazing man.
You were the epitomy of what a true Black Man should be.
You were strong, gallant, trustworthy, fair and compassionate.
You were a Humanitarian, Entrepeneur and an Icon.
You were all of that and then some.
You treated me like I was your daughter. I will forever be grateful that you were a part of my life. I love and miss you so much. Words can not express how much. I am in total devastation mode right now.
God is with me everyday. He is gradually strengthening my resolve about your passing.
Daddy, you were one of kind, never to be duplicated. I simply adored you.
I hope to see you again some day. I am going to try my best to live my life right. For now, I bid you a farewell...
Your loving daughter

Dearest Robert
Dearest Husband
To the man that I married November 28, 1981...I am in anguish...I feel as though my heart & soul has been torn out of my body...
You were my best friend and confidante for a very long time...We laughed, we loved, we cried...Very seldom if any that we may have had a disagreement...
You stood by my side when I was sick and couldn't take care of myself...It was only natural that I did for you what you have continuously done for me...
Robert I loved you til the very end...No one knew that we shared the ultimate bond...You were my soul mate and I loved you for treating Renea like she was your own...
It takes a very special & unique man to take on the responsibility of an already made family, but you did...I would have walked to the ends of the earth for you...But of course, you always knew that...
No one can or will never taint what you and I shared over the years...I will continue to love you until my last breath...I love you Robert and it was my very welcomed pleasure to have had you for all of those years as my husband...I will continue to say the Lord's Prayer out loud because I shared that with you everyday...Goodnight my love...
Your loving wife

To the Palmer Family,
Bob was truly a wonderful man. Through the years Bob's Cafe has remained an land mark any our little city. You can go anywere and if you mention you are from Barberton, they will say is Bob's Cafe still open, his burgers were the best and there was a time when his place was so respectable because he would not have any rif raff going on or around his place. Years ago people would put on there finest just to go to "BOB'S". The small juke box had all the latest music. He was our Black ICON and he will truly be missed. Rest "BOB" you truly was a wonderful and a true ICON for us.

To All The Palmer Family,
Uncle Robert was a true gentleman and is going to be missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him.
We will always remember sitting in the resturant and ordering his fantastic cheeseburgers and fries while he and Peter would spend hours talking about old times and cars.
We are sure the two of them will again have those famous conversations for hours to come.
We love you very much.

Dear Daddy,
I had a hard time putting my goodbye together. I have sat back and let myself relive the beautiful life that I had with You and Mama. Daddy it would take a lifetime to Thank You for all that you both did for Me and Renee. We were truly blessed to have Grandparents that loved us unconditionally! I relived the stories, the jokes, the many talks about life, and most of all, just the many years that we were part of Bob's Cafe, and the priceless memories that are in my heart forever! Now your journey has come to the end of the road, but it turned into a Legacy that you leave behind in all of us. So when I say REST now Daddy, I mean that, you lived a good life and you were truly loved by us all. Rest those tired legs, that walked many miles running the Bar. Rest in a place that has no worry, no pain, just "Walk Around Heaven" all day!
I love you!
Your Oldest Granddaughter!

To the Palmer family, I met your dad when I was doing his book keeping at Haramis and Roe. What a wonderful man you were. So kind, always smiling even when you really didn't have a reason to, and so polite. He was a very kind and gentle man, we all need to step back and thank the lord that he touched our lives. I will miss you Mr. Palmer. Until we meet again my friend i will keep you alive in my memories.
