Robert Piscetta Obituary
WADSWORTH --
Robert A. Piscetta, 51, of Wadsworth, passed away suddenly on August 27, 2017.
He was born in Yonkers, NY, to parents,
Anthony and Marilynn Piscetta, and grew up in New Milford, CT.
He graduated from The College of Wooster with a degree in Geology, where he met the love of his life, Colleen (McCauley), with whom he would have soon celebrated his 27th year of marriage. While there, he was a member of Kappa Chi fraternity, an All-American pitcher & Hall of Fame Inductee. In 1987, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a pitcher. In 1990, he worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers as a player, manager and scout for the Adelaide Angels in Adelaide, South Australia. He was recently promoted to Vice President of Wilson Sporting Goods, where he spent 18 years and made many lifelong friendships.
Rob's family was his world; he was a dedicated, loving father and husband. He was very proud of his two daughters,
Madeline and Kate, whom he adored. Rob loved music, nature, landscaping, sports, golfing and especially fishing with his daughters. He found the joy in life, and will be remembered for his wit, fun-loving nature, optimism, and selflessness.
In lieu of flowers, please plant something in memory of Rob to make the world a little greener. It would make him happy.
Rob is survived by his wife, Colleen (McCauley) Piscetta; and daughters,
Madeline and Kate;
parents, Anthony and Marilynn Piscetta of Cape Coral, Fla; brother, Jack (Laura) Piscetta, Grace and Will; Lawrence
(MaryAnn) Habich, Vera (Gregory) Kiernan, Ruth Habich (wife of Joseph-deceased) and Jon Habich (deceased); Bill (Abbie) McCauley,
Amelia and Ben; Jason (Betzy) McCauley, Ian and Jane; Georgia (Dave) Brown, Christopher and Garrett; and Mary McCauley and John McCauley (deceased).
A wake will be held 1 -5 p.m., Saturday, September 2nd, at Rob and Colleen's home.

Dear Piscetta Family,
I was heartbroken to hear the news about Rob.
We played HS Basketball and Baseball together and he was a special person to the core! I really enjoyed our most recent texting via our HS friends group and was so happy to have stayed in touch over the past couple of years with Rob this way! I know he was so proud of his family and would send pics of you all with every special event over the past couple years.
Please know that he would want you all to stay strong and try your best to move forward while helping each other through the tough times ahead.
Mr. & Mrs. P you raised your boy well and I know he made you both very proud of the man that he was.
You were both special to me growing up and I wish you peace and comfort when you think of Rob.

I knew Rob many years ago when we worked together at Waste Management. He was a wonderful person and I considered him to be a dear friend. It has been a very long time since we have spoken and my heart is saddened. Rob always knew how to make everyone laugh and always talked about Colleen and Maddie and Kate. I know they were the joys of his life. He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in Peace Rob.

I worked with Rob many years ago at Waste Management. He was a wonderful person and kept everyone laughing. I have not seen him in years but I know that his wife and daughters were his world.
