Robert Vollmer Obituary
Born in Akron, Bob was a lifetime area resident and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Nutone, was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, and especially loved golfing and playing Bridge.
Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years of marriage, Mary H.; and daughter, Dina Wolfe; sisters, Ruth and Betty; and brother, Richard; he is survived by son, Rob (Paula); grandchildren, Russell, Stephanie and Nikole; brother, Ralph (Carol); sisters, Barbara, Edith and Marge; many other loving relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Place for their wonderful care.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Father Michael Williamson celebrating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Firestone VFW Post #3383. Friends may call prior to the service, from 10 to 10:45 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O. Box 547, Akron, Ohio 44398-6110.

Robbie, Words cannot express the sad empty feeling when I heard the news. Your Father was MY Coach. Truly a great man and friend. I remember the good times we had playing golf together.
