Ronald Reger Obituary

Ronald C. Reger

Ronald Curtis Reger, 87, went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2014 after an extended illness.

Ronnie was born and lived in Akron his entire life. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for almost 45 years with a break to serve in the Army/Air Force during World War II.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Etta Mae (Shively) after 62 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Danny, Ronnie and Gloria Reger, and Rhonda (Denny) Gray; granddaughters, Shannon (Mike) Pelini and Jennifer Cooke; great grandsons, referred to as "the greats", Oliver and Brady; brother, Gene; and special niece, Ruth Ann (David) Barton.

A special thanks to his many friends, family and neighbors, especially his church family, including Pastor Kim and Pastor Scott from Millheim Baptist Church for all of their prayers, love and support. The family would also like to thank their coworkers for their compassion, prayers and constant support during this time.

Visitation TODAY from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating.

Burial at Hillside Memorial Park, where veterans services will be conducted by Mogadore V.F.W. Post #8487. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to Millheim Baptist Church or Aseracare Hospice.

Ron was a great person and a true family man. I loved the way he made me laugh sitting on the back porch. He will be sorely missed.....
