Rose Gehring Obituary
Born in Avon, Ohio, Rose was a graduate of Kent State in Business Finance. She was a dedicated stay at home mom and was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her father, Adam Abfall; brother, Larry Abfall; and sister, Charlene Shepard; she is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Shawn; her children, Katie, James and Melissa; mother, Rose (Holowecky) Abfall; brothers, Michael (Patricia) Abfall, Adam Abfall, Stephen (Kathy) Abfall, David Abfall; sisters, Louise Allen, Dorothy Hricovec, Ruth (Jerry) Miller, Bernanette (Jack) Hayes, Pauline (Tom) Wysocki, Mary (Dennis) Gerrity, Irene (Steve) Stankiewicz, Elizabeth (Jim) Zielinski, Margaret (Chris) Chinchar; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley 44321. Burial at Copley Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.

To all who knew Rosie-
As a brother-in-law, I witnessed an awesome, strong, faithful, courageous,beautiful and caring person with a great passion and personality. Weather she was having fun at a Christmas gathering or helping out with her mom, Rosebud, she was on a mission. She handled her illness with grace and dignity. Many of us were inspired and awoken with her faith and fortitude. It was a pleasure to greet her at this time of battle- first with a hug, followed by the latest updated hope and her dedication to our Lord. Her
family members served with strength and pride at her mass- what a sign of grace and love! The people that Rosie touched and inspired can walk away with their heads and hearts held high, for she shines righteousness. To watch her CD is very touching and I can't get through it with dry eyes. The dedication of her family members and friends is astounding. What a great opportunity it is to know Rosie! Her light will shine on into eternity. You now have such great memories of one of God's creations.

So sorry to hear of your recent loss... Rose. I recall her sunny disposition and wonderful smile. She loved her family and found strength in God during this most difficult time!

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Rose. She was a wife, mother and friend to many. I met Rose at a middle school PTA meeting many years ago. I am saddened to hear of her passing. Rosie was always a wonderful and kind person. She is surely in heaven now. I remember all our fun times at Tom's Country Place where she taught me to be respectful to the customers. My prayers and deepest sympathy to all her family.
