Samuel Muto Obituary

Samuel E. Muto died December 14, 2010 after battling cancer for the past year. He was 76.

Mr. Muto was born October 16, 1934, and was a life-long resident of Akron. He later moved to Brimfield Township where he and his wife designed and built their home.

In June, Mr. Muto and his wife Susan A. Lanik celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. He loved music and sports, and played the accordion and golf. In recent years he had taken dance classes with his wife and had learned to make delicious spaghetti sauce from his mother's recipe.

Mr. Muto was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, and his brothers, Joseph and William. He is survived by his mother, Sandy; wife, Susan; daughters, Andrea and Suzanne (Timothy Campbell); and granddaughter, Megan. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed by many relatives and friends.

December 19, 2010

To the entire Muto family,
I extend my heartfelt sympathies to all of you on the loss of your loved one. I had the pleasure of working with Sam during the 10 years I was employed by American Spirit Homes. Sam was soft-spoken, kind and by far the most easy going person I interacted with during the construction process. My thoughts are with all of you.

We are so sorry for the loss of your dad. My favorite memory of him was when you brought us to see their new house that he had designed - he really enjoyed giving us a tour and answering our questions. I will miss him, and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
