Sean Simmons Obituary
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following, on Thursday, November 17th in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. The American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 will be giving military honors. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the family, to create a trust fund for the boys, care of the Funeral Home.

Sean.....I just found out...how did I miss this ???? I am heartbroken You were a great friend and I knew if I ever needed someone to talk to you would have been there for me.....I still remember meeting you while you were coaching my son at SYF Cuyahoga Falls....3 years later we realized we dated back in 1991! Your kids were always number one with you..... You were a wonderful father!!!!! I am in shock and I literally fell down when I read the article....You were such a sweet soul....my thoughts are with Sam and Tim....I just cant believe it...I even went to your house to see if anyone was there to talk to....your truck is sitting there...I hope I told you at some point what a good guy and friend you were

Sean. A good friend, a wonderful father. I will miss that big smile of yours. I remember so many fun times when we were in high school at Woodridge. The moment I remember the most though was one of the last days of school and you were sitting by the door to go outside in the cafeteria and as I walked by you ...there was that big ole' smile. Yelena and I enjoyed catching up with you in Cuy. Falls at the Eat in Park in Chapel Hill not long ago. It brought back many memories of you and I in classes together back in Woodridge and I remember you coming back to school in uniform. Thanks for your service to our country, memories, and friendship. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm so distraught about a guy I've only known for about 5yrs; but after talking to and reading what your friends and family have to say, it's because simply put...I loved being able to call you,MY FRIEND! You always made me feel welcome wherever we were, and always made me smile when I didn't feel like it. I always felt better after talking to or seeing you, and that was just the man you were, and I thank you for that! Everyone understood your dedication to your sons Timmy and Sammy, and will continue to make sure they are taken care of. My love and condolences to your mom,dad and the rest of your family. I remember flying into Akron/Canton airport and Toni and Sean picked me up. That was the first time I met him. Now I'm flying in for his funeral. I'll always feel blessed he was a part of our family. With out him we would never of had Timmy and Sammy. Sean I hope you know how sad we all are to have lost you.
You have given so much love to the boys, and we'll always keep you alive in their memory.

I'm so sadden over the lost of the most nicest guy that I'm glad to have known. We went to Woodridge together and we remained friends by chatting on line or over the phone. Sean was our neighbor and freind on 12th Street. I beleive where Sean went he made freinds. When Sean, Timmy and Sam moved from 12th Steet the neighborhood lost a great family. Now we have lost that freind. Our condolences to the family. Timmy and Sam have one of the best fathers ever. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
