Sheila Seal Obituary
Sheila was born in Akron, grew up in Stow and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1965. She retired from City of Cuyahoga Falls Utility Billing Dept. with 15 years service. Sheila loved craft shows, scrap-booking, home decorating and arts and crafts. She also loved working with the poor and volunteering at Good Samaritan Hunger Center and Regina Health Center (Mount Augustine Sisters of Charity). Also, she loved the change of seasons, spending time with family and friends and playing cards. Sheila was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary and Visitation of Mary Parishes.
Preceded in death by her father, Timothy William Cahill Sr.; mother, Grace Elizabeth (Brown) Cahill; siblings, Timothy Cahill Jr. and Jacqueline (Cahill) Olesen; and son, Christopher David Seal; she is survived by her husband of 50 years, J. David; children, Laura Marie Seal, Stephen John Seal (Joyce) and Andrew Michael Seal (Tanya); grandchildren, Joshua and Joseph Rodhe and Adam, Jacob and Jared Seal; siblings, Maureen (Cahill) Beebe, Joseph Cahill, John Cahill and James Cahill (Maricel); nieces, Monica and Angela and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM). Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to: Good Samaritan Hunger Center, Soup Kitchen at Visitation of Mary, Lupus Foundation or Ministry of Needy with IHM Church. I send my deepest condolences to all of Sheila's family. I worked with Sheila at City Hall and we always stopped to chat as we passed each other in the hallway. I will always remember her quiet spirit, her quick smile, and how much she cared for others. You will be missed, my friend.

Dave and family, I was so sorry to hear about Sheila. She was very special to me. I met you and Sheila when you came to visit me when my daughter, Ashley, passed away of SIDS. It was 30 years ago which is so hard to believe. You and Sheila could share my grief as you and Sheila had suffered the same same loss with your son and we prayed together. After that visit, Sheila would stop by and give me beautiful coral roses from her garden. She would leave me these roses on mother's day for many years.
