Stephen J. "Steve" August

Stephen "Steve" J. August, 89, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. A life resident of Barberton, he was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Steve enjoyed bowling and golfing and was a member of the Barberton Moose Lodge #759 and the Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by his son, John; brother, Frank and sister, Betty Lobdell. Steve is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (nee Guysick); sons, Kurt (Valerie) and Keith; daughter, Karen (Chris) Carneal; grandsons, John, Nick and Josh August; sister, Mary Demetroff; numerous nieces and nephews. Due to current circumstances masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed. Inurnment with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 17th at 1:30 p.m.
