Emily and family,
I just learned of Terry's passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Terry and I were teammates back in '87 at NLU (ULM). I considered Terry a friend and though we didn't stay in touch, I was able to cross paths with him again at a Twins game when he pitched for the Orioles. We were able to chat briefly and catch up. Just a great guy! May God be with you all during this time.

Emily and family-
Thoughts and prayers are with you all. "Memory" takes me back to riding "Mr. Jimmie's" school bus with "Tet" and his siblings. I am blessed to still have his sister Susie as a friend and sister in the Lord. His accomplishments were many - but his greatest pride and joy was always you all...his family.
May the comforter surround you with His peace and strength for all your days ahead. Be blessed!
In sympathy and prayer,

Every time I start to cry, I remember that he sees the face of God. He made us all so proud. Just his form has gone. His essence lives on! What a joy shooting through all the pain. I know he got tired of having me for a teacher again and again. Some years I taught him two classes. But that is okay. He was never mean. The teacher's pay comes not in a check, but in the shimmer of a student's life lived with stellar care. Shining star! That's what you are! Love from Groovy Couvie xo Emily and the kids...he will keep shining on you. Feel God's radiant arms at your back.

February 26, 2012

Emily, we are so sorry to hear of this sudden and tragic loss for all of us. Terry was so good for so many people. God blessed him with talent, and Terry found a way to use it for His glory. I have heard the many stories of how he touched the lives of many young athletes in the area both in how they played baseball and how they lived their lives.

Terry will be missed. There are so many of us who were taking for granted that we would have many more times to see him in the future. Now, it is our loss of not being able to see his smile and hear his laugh in this world.

I know you, Molly, Magan, and Marcus are facing a great deal of grief and sorrow. There aren't words to soften the pain. But, please know that our prayers are with each of you even though we can't be there physically to give you courage, strength, and peace in knowing that Terry is now looking on the face of our Lord with endless joy.

We love each of you and offer our support in whatever you need. I hope to see you soon.

I remember a grand slam he once hit during a high school Easter tournament. The opposing pitcher wanted to walk him and give up a run, but the pitcher's coach said Terry would have to prove he was an all American. That day he proved he was an all American. The remainder of his life proved he never stopped being one.
