Thomas Gintling Obituary
Tom served our country during World War II in the Army. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was a bookkepper his whole career and a long time member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bud; sister, Jean Richards. Tom is survived by his sister, Madeline Campbell; nieces and nephews, Claudia Spohnholz, Kevin Campbell, Jeaninne Johnson, Mark Richards and Tom Richards.
A military service will be held at 12:30 a.m. Monday, May 13 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerAkron.com.

Gintling family....for many years Tom handled the books for my father Jim Champlin at Champlin Cleaners and dads tailoring shop.He was so helpful to my parents. I relied on Tom for my taxes every year. He was a professional in all ways. He was a wonderful man. My prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear about "Uncle Tom" (as our two children called him). He was our neighbor and very good friend when we lived on West Exchange Street. He lived right across the street from us. He and my husband would go hunting and fishing together. He was "one of the family" to us. He was so much fun. He will be sadly missed by us and those who knew him. Rest now, Uncle Tom. We love you.

Debbie and I extend our sincere sympathy to each of you. We are the daughters of Ruth Johnson Fickes. Our grandmother was Cora Gintling Johnson from Portage Lakes. Actually, I worked one summer for Tom when his office was on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. I was in high school at the time.
