Timothy O'Connor Obituary

Timothy W. "Buck" O'Connor

Timothy W. "Buck" O'Connor, 45, passed away May 1, 2008.

Buck was a 1981 graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and a four year member of the Fighting Irish football team. He was employed by Bell Music where he met tons of friends by participating in many dart leagues. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the links. He is survived by his wife, Michelle (Reichard); father. William O'Connor; brothers; Michael O'Connor, Kevin (Colleen) O'Connor; sisters, Kitty Factor, Maureen (Ed) Brown, Peggy (Terry) McDonald, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Buck will be missed by his faithful fuzzy buddy Mulligan, who is waiting for one more game of fetch.

Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 A.M. Monday at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours 2 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the Dunn Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St., Akron. This is very sad... Buck was a very special guy! He was my football coach many years ago and his passion got me into that sport and he helped me to grow as an athlete and a person. I owed a lot to him and he will forever hold a place in my heart. He was just about as good a person as you could be, and he will be missed by many.

Shelley,
Wow, we dont know what to say, but here we go although we are in Cali. there are so many memories of Buck. We will never forget Buck laying out in the backyard in January and thinking it was Summer. Our trip to Ohio was a great time. Talking sports with Buck was the best THe trip USC with the fight song was a great laugh after Roscoes Chicken And Waffle. Even when he was down he was not out he just texted me a few weeks ago to tell that he was a UCLA Believer and KeVin Love was the real deal. I could talk for ever these are just a few memories. Lots of love from Cali. Hope to see you soon .

Shelly,
I didn't know buck for very long but for the time I did, I had a blast being around him. He always thought I was awesome and that was great to hear from him. I enjoyed seeing him at dart tournaments and banquets. He was always the one I would say hi to before anyone else. I had alot of respect for him and I will miss him deeply. I to have suffered a loss recently. My stepfather passed away on May 15th. He also liked to play golf, so Bucky has a new friend to play golf with. So hang in there kiddo and hope to see you around. Shelly --

Patti just phoned us today and told us the sad news. We always thought Buck would beat it, he had such positive energy. My first thought of him always goes back to when we were visiting, before you two got engaged but things looked serious between you. When we were saying goodbye to him, I told him to take good care of you. He looked me right in the eye and, suddenly serious, and with great gravity and ernestness quietly replied, "I will." You two were soon engaged and married, and I never doubted that he would do his best for you. You had some wonderful times with a wonderful man, and may you carry the heartwarming blessing of his love with you always. God bless you and keep you, cousin --

Sending our love and condolences, with great sadness,
Michael and Alexis & Family xoxo

Shelly - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I just cannot believe that Buck is gone. It has been several years since I've seen either of you, but the memories are vivid. As a matter of fact, the last time I saw Buck, he was smiling (as usual) and it was on a golf course. I have such fond memories of Buck, his gigantic hugs, his love of life, and his enthusiasm for darts. I will never forget one of the first Bell Music trips to Chicago for the World Dart Tournament and Buck sat next to me during a very "bumpy" plane ride and we encouraged each other throughout the flight. He was an awesome person and great friend. Shelly, take care and keep your friends and family close to your heart during this very difficult time! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Love, Johnna
