Todd D. James, Sr., 51, of Akron, Ohio passed away on June 30, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic.
Todd was born in Akron, Ohio on May 31, 1963 to Estella and the late Felix Bushner.
Todd enjoyed spending time with family, and playing cards. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He was an entrepreneur of Todd's Home Improvement.
He is survived by wife, Alisa James; daughter, Tyisha Riley; son, Todd James Jr; mother, Estella Bushner; siblings, Jessie James Jr, Donald James, Timothy (Lisa) Bushner; sister, Rhonda (Angelo) Hodges, all of Akron, Ohio; grandchild, Taysia Nichols; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Special thanks to AGMC, 7100 Floor and MICU Floor; also the Cleveland Clinic ICU/G62 Unit.
Service will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Pastor William E. Jones eulogizing and Pastor Phillip Moore officiating. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1034 Roslyn Ave., Akron, OH 44320 or 1063 Nome Ave., Akron, OH 44320.

In two day it will be one year that you departed this earthly life and not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about you with both smiles and tears.
Thanks for letting me know that you are ok in so many wonderful ways but the one that stands out the most "no need to tell me thanks, I would do it all over again. thanks for the forehead kiss, it was so real" maybe I shouldn't have tried to grab you and our conversation would have lasted longer. I'm sure you will keep coming to visit me and even if you don't you will be with me forever.
When you left you took a piece of me with you. Again, thanks for being my friend above all, thanks for sharing some of your most precious thoughts with me the conversations, the laughs and even the tears. Rest easy Todd see you on the other side....

You were heavy on my mind today and as I am reading old text messages. Thinking about what could have been instead of what is. My heart sinks, I am listing to Pandora radio @ work and "if this world was mines" comes on I had to smile just remembering you walking around the house singing (u couldn't sing @ all lol)but this was your song and you would make up words (if this world were mines, I promise you) I wish I could hear you now. I have some good days and some bad days, but I know I serve a mighty good god and he has me through it all. I have so many memories that I will cherish forever that helps but I still miss your presence tremendously. Again I am blowing you a kiss all the way to heaven.

Hey Duane, It's me your big sis its still so hard to think that it is so for real as I write this to u the tears just roll not just for me but for all of us I remember the I came to your room and u tried to act like u was fine but I knew it wasn't but u didn't complain much only about the fruit tray u wanted and brushing your teeth lol even coming up as kids u always the little neat one. I tell people my brother was one always neat clean even his kids he would keep neat never aloud tyshia to get dirty with my kids when they be playing we life at that. And when we would get off the phone id say love u too and you'd say love u to sis no matter how mad u had made me about something u had said u know it was always u not me but I miss u and I'm so glad I told u I love u before no matter what because we all forget to say it but send a message to your mom let her know you're ok and having a good time because she's having a hard time but we know she's going to make it because she trust in the lord and he will take of her. so i'll talk back with u soon love ya much big sis Rhonda

LeBron James has finally passed Michael Jordan—at least when it comes to being the most popular sports figure in the United States.
In a poll released Thursday by Harris Interactive, the Cleveland Cavaliers forward passed His Airness for the honor for the first time in his 11-year career. Jordan, who has not played basketball in more than a decade, still comes in at No. 2. Jordan had been topped the poll from 1993-2005 and was No. 1 again last year. Harris surveyed 2,241 adults online between June 11 and 16 to come up with the final tallies.

I miss you so very much. Thanks for holding my hand when I needed it and thanks for never letting go when I was being difficult. So many things in life we take for granted never realizing how much the small things mean until it's gone. like my daily text messages telling me to have a good day, the daily suga booboo calls just to tell me you were thinking about me while I was at work. The cooked meals, the chewing gum (lol). I am so glad that you are no longer suffering. I am sure it's a lot of people amongst the angels that can cook you some good ol' cabbage, neck bones and fried pork chops (lol) The silliness we shared can never be replaced I will cherish those memories forever. The love we had for one another was special and rare thanks for giving me that "unconditional" You will forever be my "pookie butt" I don't have to tell you to watch over me, I already know you will you always have.
