Tricia Leonard Obituary
Tricia C. Leonard, PHD, age 66, passed away February 4, 2014.
Tricia was born in Akron, Ohio and lived her life in the Akron area. She was a self-employed Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for 20 years. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and her Master's and Doctorate Degrees in Psychology from The University of Akron. Tricia also received her lay ministry degree from John Carroll University. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a generous heart and was passionate about caring for her family, friends, and patients.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Donald E. and Grace Leonard.
She is survived by daughters, Denise (Matthew) Fockler of Uniontown and Danielle (Michael) Moench of Medina; sons, Joseph D. (Christine) Pallotta of Hudson and Shawn C. (Melissa) Pallotta of Cincinnati; sisters, Bonnie (Kitt) Crawley of California, Donna (Larry) Dial of Tennessee, Joan (Richard) Iacino of Florida, Ginger Leonard and her daughter Laurel Leonard of Akron; a brother, Donald E. Leonard, DDS of South Dakota; grandchildren, Joey, Alex, Zach, Antonio, Leonora, Nico, Gianna, Vitale, and April.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 SOUTHWEST AVE. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle), conducted by her children. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be given to the American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd., Suite 260, Independence, OH 44131.

Sending my condolences upon Tricia's passing. I just received this news. She was an insightful, loving individual who made a huge difference so many lives, including mine. Her soul touched my soul and I feel so blessed to have been able to have met her and spoken with her. She was truly an amazing person. I honestly can say that she has helped me to progress very far in my journey called life and I wouldn't be where I am today if it had not been for her help.

With a heavy heart, I am just learning of Tricia's passing today. I met Tricia on a writers cruise. When we spoke I appreciated that we had such similar and very deep thoughts. I wanted to speak with her regarding a project I have. When I hadn't seen her around (Facebook), I was concerned and researched Akron, Ohio. My deepest condolences on your loss of a wonderful, sweet and intelligent woman.

I just learned of Tricia's passing today. I just want he family to know what an impact she had in my life. She helped me more than words can explain. Her understanding and love for people was like few people I have met. She spoke with such love for her children. I learned so much from her and cried buckets when I heard the news. She will forever be all of us that were lucky enough to have known her our angel. God Bless and Infinite Love and Gratitude. She will never be forgotten....

I was a patient of Tricia's and I am so shocked and in disbelief. She was such a wonderful person and she taught me so much in the few years she counseled me. Tricia will be sadly missed. She was so compassionate and supportive and had so much strength upon which I often relied. She taught me how to be content in my life, which mirrored the way she lived. I am not sure what I am going to do without her. I wish her family and friends the "infinite love and gratitude" she taught me all about.
