Dear Nancy,

You and Bill were there when I said good-bye to my father; I only wish I could have been there for you. I extend my sympathy and my prayers to you and ask you to do the same for me, for this is a sad time. Bill and I played together when we were children, and from all reports, I missed much in not having the opportunity to know him better after we grew up. He seems to have manifest as an adult the qualities that inspired me to look up to him whenever we played together those long years ago. I will await with sweet anticipation the time when he and I shall play together again on a brighter day, in a fairer field, beside a sweeter stream, where finer fish will leap.

God's Peace be with you.

Dear Nancy,

My heart goes out to you and all of Bill's family. We had great times "circleing the wagons" at dog shows. Bill was always fun to be with, and truly devoted to Labradors. I'll always admire Bill's courage.

I worked with Bill when we both were at General Tire's Tire Development plant. He worked in the accounting department there. Though we did not work in the same department, he was a great person to work with and know. May you and your family be comforted in knowing that others share in your sorrow.

Am saddened by the passing of your beloved husband and father. I met Bill when he campaigned for the Clerk position. Later, I had almost daily contact while employed by the Road Dept and member of the Board of Zoning Appeals. Very seldom saw him without that same smile for everyone. It's been ten years since moving to FL but he has not been forgotten. How proud he was of his son and his labs! May God's Peace surround you.

Dear Nancy, Billy and Jean G. We were so sorry to hear about Bill. We left Akron 15 years ago after retiring so have lost contact with many of our General Tire friends. I had even forgotten that Jean was related to you. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Woody and Edna (Mohan) Connell.
