Barbara Knapp Obituary
PATRIOT — Barbara Darlene Knapp, 86, of Patriot, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Born November 15, 1931 in Gallia County, Barbara Darlene was the daughter of the late Riley E. and Nellie Mae Arbaugh Ingles. As a teenager, Barbara Darlene worked for a dry cleaners in Washington Court House. Years later, she was a cook for the Gallia County Local Schools at Southwestern. Barbara Darlene married Duane E. Knapp, who preceded her in death on April 13, 1994. She was also a member of McDaniel Crossroads Church.
Barbara Darlene is survived by her daughter, Kim S. (Jon) Double of Patriot; son, Kevin D. Knapp of Naples, Florida; granddaughter, Jannette S. (Matt) Bowen of Jackson; grandson, Jonathan Duane (Ashley) Double of Rodney; great-grandchildren, Jonathan J. and Virginia R. "Ginny" Double; brother: Orville (Phyllis) Ingles of Patriot; sisters, Marcine Daughtery of Washington Court House and Shirley Miller of Patriot; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara Darlene was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Ingles and Forrest Ingles.
Friends may call on the family at Willis Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018. A graveside service for Barbara Darlene will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 in Flags Springs Cemetery with Pastor Doug Miller officiating.
