Ernest Saunders Obituary
MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. — Ernest Wayde Saunders, 86, passed away at his home in Merritt Island, on October 3, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Roush Saunders. Other survivors include their son, Russell, of Rockledge, Fla., granddaughters,Melissa Bartlett, Portland, Oreg., Tanya Resinto, Kahului, Ha., and great-grandchildren, Mallory Bartlett, Kaitlyn Resinto and Titan Resinto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Earl and Nellie Greenlee Saunders, a sister, Earlene Trout, and twin brother, Wayne. Ernie retired from Rinker Materials in 1989, and he and Carol enjoyed many RV trips throughout the U.S. and Canada. As recently as July they made a trip to Ohio for Carol's class reunion.
There will be a visitation from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with a funeral service following on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial.
