Johnetta Chapman Obituary
POINT PLEASANT — Johnetta June Chapman of Point Pleasant, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born on Nov. 6, 1930, to the late John and Janet (Knapp) Bates. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Rife, Dexter, Ohio, Becky (Ronnie) Spencer, Point Pleasant, W.Va.;sons, Charles (Carolyn) Jones, Langsville, Ohio, Bart (Becky) Pearson, Henderson, W.Va.; grandchildren, Mandy (Jason) Collins, Stephanie Jones, Tawney (Joe) Babcock, Jon (Mary Morton) Rife, Nancy Rife, Brandon Gilbert, Demetria Gilbert, Stephen (Samantha) Pearson, Dylan Pearson, Andy Fairchild, Jarred Fairchild; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin J. Chapman; brothers, Robert "Corky" Bates and Dale "Buddy" Bates; sisters, Jaquelyn Stanley and Janet Romine.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at noon at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Brenda Barnhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocksprings Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior top the service.
