My mother, Virginia Steele Burke, was a very good friend of Mildred in school. I met Mildred when Mom and I went on a trip to Ashtabula several years ago to see covered bridges. Mildred came to our motel and she and Mom had a wonderful reunion. So sorry for your loss.
