POMEROY — Robert Eugene "Gene" Musser, of Pomeroy, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Holzer Meigs Emergency Department.
He was born on August 9, 1936 in Rutland to the late Arthur And Glennis (Smith) Musser. Gene was the Pastor at the Langsville Christion Church for 50 years and he worked and retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Roberta Musser; children, Jeff (Anita) Musser, Bob Musser, Anita (Bob) Wears, Maria (Ron) Hampton; grandchildren, Brent (Anna) Wears, Derek Wears, Wyatt (Brandi) Musser, Paige Musser, Jeremiah Knopp, Bailey Hampton, Rachel (Jon) Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Roger Musser, Paul (Michele) Musser, Eloise (David) Carson, Elaine Musser, Judy (Thomas) Coomer; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bishop Bill Hamon and Pastor Leon Walters.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles and Judy Musser; sister-in-law, Linda Musser, grandson, Dustin Ray Musser; maternal grandparents Maude and Ernest Smith; and paternal grandparents William and Ivy Musser.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with pastor Norman Matson officiating. Burial will follow at the Miles Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
