I got to know Roger through the campmeeting. It was a joy to have met someone so humble and kind. It was a joy to hear him preach, but even a bigger joy to watch the Lord use him. I will never forget having the priveledge being able to wash his feet at our church. Something I will never forget. I know he will be greatly missed, but he is now where he longed to be,with his Saviour.

My Uncle Roger was one of a kind. Me, my Grandpa Tim, my Uncle Ronald, my Uncle Roger and my uncle Calvin always go to breakfast at Hardees or Waffle House when I take trips down there from Ohio. It is always special listening to all their stories and memories they tell while being there and I wouldn't of changed it for the world! Several years back, we were at Hardees one morning and a guy stops by and talked to us for a couple minutes. He saw us pray before we began to eat. I remember him saying how lucky I was to be spending time with my grandpa and uncles. He then gave me a Bible and said, I want you to remember this day and never take this for granted. Roger will always have a special place in my heart, and I am so blessed to be able to spend those early mornings with all of my great uncles and grandpa enjoying breakfast.
Love and miss you Uncle Roger!
Praying for you, Aunt Diane.

He was the greatest pastor I ever had. He was extremely compassionate always reaching out to the less fortunate. Heart of gold! His talents were many but his preaching was superior. I always said that God had given him a special gift; the ability to preach so that little children understood yet the learned man didnt feel like he was be red him. My heart aches but then I smile when I think of those hes shouting with now. I love, love, love Diane. Hoy, Angie and ALL the rest of the Duncan family. Till we meet on that bright shore.

I have know Rev Roger Duncan since he came to our church as a teenager. He quickly got involved with the youth as he played basketball with the teenagers and started driving one of our first church bus routes. You could tell he was different from the other boys as he took his bus route very seriously, it took priority over all his other activities. My two daughters loved riding his bus so much they would get on his bus every Sunday morning even though I was driving to the church right behind the bus.(to know him was to love him).

I have never met anyone who knew and could quote so much scripture from memory. When he was called to preach he took that responsibility like he did with everything else he did ,he gave it his all. He was my devoted, faithful pastor for 30+ years (Some gave some but he gave all).

We will miss you Brother Roger but you are the happiest you will ever be, you are where you have waited all your life to go HEAVEN

What a great man of God with such a testimony he has left behind. He was Faithful, funny, and my friend. He was so good to young preachers like myself. I count it a privilege to have heard him preach, hug his neck, laugh at his jokes, and worship the Lord together many times. He will ever so much be missed. Prayers for the family.
