Bert Frichot Obituary

Bert Charles Frichot Jr., went to be with our Lord November 13, 2004. He was born in Independence, Kansas on July 29, 1913 to Bert Charles Frichot Sr. and Rebecca (Crans) Frichot. After graduation from Cushing High School in 1930, he went back to Independence to attend Junior College for two years. From there he followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. While at KU he was a member of Acacia fraternity. During WWII, Charles served as a Lieutenant in the 5th Army, serving in both Africa and Italy. He joined Deep Rock Refinery, which later became the Kerr McGee Corporation, and was a Research Chemist for there for 54 years. Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, Berniece Dillon Frichot. Charles and Louise were married on the 6th day of April, 2000 in Fayetteville, Ark. He is survived by his wife Louise Claxton Frichot, of the home; his sister Charlotte Frichot Wood and her family of Tulsa; his son Bert Charles Frichot III and wife, Joy of Omaha, NE; Stepsons: Eddie Claxton & wife Gaylen of Cushing, their 3 children, Chet Claxton of Shawnee, Yvette Hutchison and family of New Lima; and Chuck Claxton and wife, Karri of Cushing, several grandchildren and one great grandson; Kenneth Claxton of Montgomery, Texas, and daughter Brinda Briscoe and family of Arlington, Texas. Grandson Bert Charles Frichot IV and wife Kim of Harrah and their three children, Merrick, Travis, and Brooke; and granddaughter Marie Gossling and husband John of Houston, TX and their six children, Grace, Julie, Jill, Sarah, Kate, and Claire. While of this earth, Charles had passion for beautiful cars, reading, and in his earlier years, bird watching. Memorial Service on Tuesday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 112 S. Thompson, Cushing, OK 74023.
