1989 - 2017

Jan. 27, 1989 - May 31, 2017 EDMOND After a life well lived, Caleb Forrest, 28, a cherished husband, father, son, brother and grandson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Caleb bravely fought his battle with brain cancer, and after five years, he won his crown. He was a natural born leader, never negative, strong, positive, funny, grateful, cared about people, but most of all, he loved his family. He and Tristin Basden were married on Aug. 16, 2009. Caleb had a great trust in God and knew everything was going to be alright. He was a great connector of people and he inspired everyone to believe in the impossible. Caleb enjoyed making cookies every Christmas Eve and watching Elf as well as taking his family to the Christmas in the Park. He loved the 4th of July; it was his holiday! He worked for six years and did great things in his career with Verizon. He was an amazing husband and father. He loved playing music for His Savior in the worship band for Life.Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tristin, his two children, Everett and Arden, all of the home; his father, Joe & his wife Regan; his mother, Cindy; two brothers, Tanner and Taylor Forrest; one sister, Tiara Snodgrass & husband Cotton; stepsister, Sydney Spiva; grandmother, Rosemary Mellas; grandparents, Gilbert & Barbara Forrest; mother-in-law, Cherise Braggs; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; a niece and nephew; as well as a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Mellas. The family wishes to say a very special Thank-You for all the medical support to Dr. Michael Sughrue, Dr. James Battiste, the entire staff and nurses of the OU Medical Center, Stephenson Cancer Center and the nursing staff of the Integris Hospice House. The support from Verizon, his fellow co-workers and customers has meant so very much to the family. A Celebration of Caleb's Life will be held at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, June 5, 2017, at the South Campus of Life.Church. A Reception will follow with food and fellowship at Caleb's father's home, 3609 Harris Drive, Edmond, OK 73013.
