Candace Lynn Wietelman, age 70, passed away at her home in Harrah, OK on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Candace was born on October 24, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK to Curtis Allen and Earlene Lynn (Doll) Grubb. She grew up and attended school in Denver. Candace moved to Oklahoma City metro in 1970 and went to work for the State of Oklahoma. She later went to work at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring in 2011. Candace married Fred Wietelman on February 23, 2011. Candace loved quilting and spoiling her grandkids. Her family and quilting were her life. She served as a volunteer grief counselor at Rose State College. Candace is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Ruby Grubb; one sister, Sherry Valdillez; and one son, Jason Knox. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Fred of the home; one son, David Padilla of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Tammy Padilla of Houston, TX; one brother, Terry Grubb of Denver; two sisters, Debbie Leach of Choctaw, Kathy Wood of Denver; three grandchildren, Kyle Knox of Newcastle, Nichola Padilla of Kansas City, MO, Kaylin Knox of Oklahoma City, OK; and two great-grandchildren, Finley Rider, Oaklyn Knox. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK on January 9, 2021, at 1:00 pm.
