Carlice Irions Barnett, daughter of the late Bill and Marie Irions, was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Hayti, MO. She attended the public schools and was a 1957 graduate of Steele High School. Carlice spent the majority of her life in Caruthersville, MO before moving to Oklahoma City in 1978, where she met and married her loving and devoted husband, Tom Barnett.
She was committed, hardworking, and her expertise was admired and utilized by her employers for many years. Her varied career included positions with Delta Distributing, KCRV Radio, Viersen & Cochran Drilling, Oilfield Specialty Distributors and with attorney, John R. Folkes.
She departed this life to be with her Savior on Feb. 2, 2020, after a long illness.
Carlice was loved by many and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Billy Joe (Patty) Hinchey, of El Mirage, AZ; Jim Hill, of Shawnee, OK; and Lisa (Harold) Crye, of Brentwood, TN; brothers, Marvin (Diane) Irions, John (Pat) Irions, and Bobby (Penny) Irions; sisters, Frances (Don) Johnson and Joyce Ellison; six grandchildren, Mary Modenessi, Monica Hinchey, Billy Joe Hinchey, Jr., Jason Hill, Cody Crye, and Sara Douglas; eight great-grandchildren, Bryson Modenessi, Zayvier Modenessi, Jourdyn Hinchey, Payton Hinchey, Locklyn Douglas, Tre Hinchey, Donovan Hinchey, and Jacob Hill; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their many acts of kindness with special thanks to her many caregivers, whose exceptional care and attention gave comfort during her prolonged illness.
The family will receive friends at the service on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery Historical Chapel, 13313 N. Kelley Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
