First, I would like to thank all of you who submitted a memory statement about Cleo Phillips, my beloved spouse. Cleo was a very special person as those of you who really knew him will agree. He was a man of great wisdom; he read continually, mostly the Bible, he probably read the bible 25 times from cover to cover, but other books as well, usually pertaining to political science, conservative books. He loved God first and foremost; he loved his family; he loved the Lord's Church; he loved his fellow man; he loved his country and worked toward making all those entities to be the best they could be, with the help of God. He has left an empty seat and some very large shoes to be filled. He has influenced many with his teaching and preaching the gospel of Christ beginning when he was about twelve years old. His faith never wavered. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." I Corin. 15:58. I miss him every day, but I know my God will supply my needs and take care of me with love and comfort.
