Daniel T. Melton
Nov. 4, 1954 - May 20, 2020
Born in Oklahoma City on November 4, 1954 to Reuben and Evelyn Melton, Dan loved his friends and family and spending time with both. He was always the life of the party with his boisterous sense of humor and contagious laugh. He was a sports fanatic especially for his Sooners since his college days at OU. He loved music, arguing football stats and telling his nieces and nephews their family history. Coming from a big family, Dan was happiest surrounded by a large group of close friends, building memories with those he cared for. He enjoyed a good conversation and if you ever wanted to know what he was thinking, all you had to do was ask. He worked for many years as a dispatcher at Estes Express Lines. Dan was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his five siblings: Joe (Kathy) Melton, Patti (John) Munro, Cathy (Joe) Vaughan, Marcie (Dallas) Hite and Paul Melton and many nieces and nephews.
