Dayna Meyer Obituary

Memorial services for Dayna Lynn Meyer of El Reno were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2005 in the First Christian Church. Rev. Dr. Jeff Knighton, Pastor officiated. Private interment of the cremains were in the El Reno Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Ms. Meyer died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in the Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 19, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK. Dayna came to El Reno when she was one year old and has resided here since. She was a graduate of El Reno High School and a member of the First Christian Church, a former Band Mom, and Shrine Lady. She was preceded in death by her father Dayton K. Meyer. Survivors include her longtime companion, David Alan 'Jake' Jacoby of the home; 2 sons, Dayton Lee Power & wife Tara of Piedmont, OK, Aaron Dean Power & wife Donna of Drumright, OK; her mother, Marcella (Herman) Meyer of El Reno, OK; 2 sisters, Darla Abner of Hydro, OK, Jeannette Sanders of El Reno, OK; 4 grandchildren, Caleb Lee Power, Ethan Michael Power, Isabelle Kathryn Power, Dayton Marcel Roddy Power, and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society - 8400 Silver Crossing Dr., Suite H - Oklahoma City, OK 73132 or the First Christian Church 400 S. Barker - El Reno, OK, 73036.
